Can you tell what I’m thinking?
I studied Psychology at the University of Lincoln, driven by a deep curiosity about human behaviour and a genuine desire to help others.
I gained a broad understanding of human behaviour including what drives and motivates people. It sparked my interest in branding psychology and the subtle art of how we sell ideas, experiences, and identities. A topic I continue to explore today.
Ooh Friends, Camp Friends
After university, I worked as a summer camp counsellor at Kutsher’s Sports Academy in Massachusetts. It was tough, full-on work with long days and lots of responsibility, but also one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. I made lifelong friends, including with a few Australians who later invited me to visit them.
The Lucky Country
What started as a gap year in Australia turned into four unforgettable years (and one global pandemic). I bought a car and travelled the East Coast of Australia, New Zealand and Bali. I mostly worked in up-market casual dining hospitality, where I discovered my passion for creating memorable experiences.
Back on Home Soil
Ready for some stability and to reconnect with family and friends, I returned to the UK. I worked at the University of Lincoln while living at home, preparing for my move to Manchester and the start of a new chapter.
Welcome to Manchester & the World of Recruitment
I moved to Manchester and joined a tech recruitment company as an Office Coordinator. My role quickly grew into Talent & Office Manager, where I led internal hiring, elevated our employer brand across socials, and curated events, socials, and fundraising challenges. I loved combining my creativity, people skills, and planning abilities to boost team culture.
Hooked on the Hustle
I was approached for a role as an Executive Assistant at a fast-paced tech start-up. On paper, it sounded like a once in a lifetime opportunity to help scale and grow with a business and to use my organisational and people skills.
But in reality, the role was highly reactive, lacked creativity, and solitary. Sitting beside the marketing team as they brainstormed brand activations and awareness campaigns, I realised that’s where I truly wanted to be, in a space where ideas, energy, and collaboration come together.
Finding My People
After taking time to reflect and reconnect with what energises me, I’m thoughtfully exploring my next opportunity. In the meantime, I’m enjoying two fulfilling temporary roles that keep me engaged and inspired while I find the right fit.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, I support children with diverse needs, constantly thinking on my feet, reading behaviour, and finding creative ways to connect and communicate.
At FIX MCR, a breathwork, sauna, and cold immersion space, I work as a Free Flow Guide. I welcome guests, support their transitions between the heat and cold, and enjoy building genuine connections within Manchester’s vibrant wellness community.
The Journey So Far
It’s been a journey full of plot twists, growth and self-discovery. Now that I’m settled in South Manchester and I’m clear on what energises me, I’m ready for the next chapter. I’m looking for a role that brings together branding, events, and creativity. A role where I can connect people and craft meaningful experiences.
